The UKBGF is very keen to assist the creation and growth of local backgammon clubs and sees them as vitally important to the future of the game. While there are a number of long-established and successful clubs, we recognise that there are significant variations across the country in how easy it is to find a game. We are therefore launching the New Club Start-Up Assistance Scheme to help those who would like to organise one.
The scheme will apply to the setting up of any new club, plus any recently started embryonic club struggling to become established. This could be based in a region, city, town or village. Or it could be based in a school, a college or a workplace – in fact any potential backgammon community.
