Since early autumn last year, the establishment of an online ratings list has seen more than 20,000 matches entered!
However, face-to-face play is now possible and well underway across the UK, and the live ratings list is once again receiving results from clubs new and old, as well as larger events such as regional or national open tournaments.

Along with much else in 2020, the backgammon world was turned upside down because of COVID-19.
Did it ever strike you as odd – after you lost a match on Galaxy.com – that your Performance Rating was better than your opponent’s and that you were supposed to have had the better luck as well?
Well, it’s struck me – several times even. I’m a newcomer to the game, and my head is full of questions but void of answers – questions that I imagine more experienced players have asked and answered years ago.
A new year starts and it’s time for us to publish our annual official list of the UK’s top 100 members. After 2018 being Tim Cross’s year, 2019 largely belonged to Jon Barnes. [Read more…]
