The Backgammon World lost one of its movers and shakers yesterday: Andy Bell, founder of The World Series of Backgammon, passed away at the shockingly early age of 52.
Plato Tserliangos writes:
On 16th October 2019 we lost one of the most loved and respected members of the international backgammon community, Giorgos Kleitsas.
It was a great shock last week to hear of the death of George Miltiadou on 6th December at the much too early age of 64. George had been having treatment for an aggressive form of cancer for some months, although most of the backgammon community were unaware that he was ill.
It is with great sadness that we report the death last Thursday of Erhan Doğrusöz, who many of you will know from his career as a manufacturer of backgammon boards.
