The very first Four Nations Cup kicks off tomorrow, and continues on Sunday 11th April. Teams from England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland will be competing for a unique trophy – and of course bragging rights! – in a four-way round robin, with the top two teams playing a final for the title and the bottom two playing off to avoid being the first wooden spoon winners. The trophy will be ready for presentation to the winning captain and team when live play resumes.
On both Sundays, matches will start at 1.30pm and 3.30pm. There will be 4 matches streamed live on YouTube (details below) with live commentary – a great way to learn and gain insight into the game! Please watch on Youtube, where possible, rather than on Heroes, so that we don’t overload the Heroes server.
You can see the team lineups and fixtures, as well as results as they happen, in the online draw sheet. The four captains, Martin Barkwill (England), Evan Williams (Scotland), Kevin Jones (Wales) and Phil Newton (Ireland) have had the option to pick a wide variety of players for their squads, although only six will play in each round. Expect to see a mixture of familiar faces and upcoming future stars!
