Venue and Hotel
Following the success of the fourth UK Open at Coombe Abbey in September 2017, we are returning to this stunning venue this year. Situated approximately six miles east of Coventry city centre, Coombe Abbey was originally a Cistercian abbey dating back to the 12th century and is set in 500 acres of parkland.
Our allocation of rooms is limited, so please visit the Venue and Hotel page for booking details.
Format and Schedule
The Masters flight will revert this year to a traditional format of Main with progressive Consolation, followed by a Last Chance (called the ‘Abbey Cup’) on Sunday. The Advanced flight will be a pure Swiss with 11-point matches throughout over the two days, to ensure plenty of play for all players. Satellites will begin the event on the afternoon of Friday 31st August, with the Warm Up and Super Jackpot commencing in the evening. The main tournaments will start on Saturday morning and finish by Sunday evening, 2nd September. See the provisional format and schedule.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to pre-register stating whether you wish to enter the Masters or Advanced flight. See the Registration page for more information, including eligibility to play in a particular flight. Masters players: please also tell us if you want to play in the Super Jackpot, starting Friday evening, which will be limited to 32 players. In most cases no pre-payment is required, but please remember to book your hotel accommodation as we have a limited allocation of rooms.
IMPORTANT – Masters and Advanced players must be present at the venue with all fees paid by 10am on Saturday 1st September 2018 whether or not they have pre-registered.
