This is the last call for Intermediates to sign up to this year’s doubles development league.
Think you’ve had your go? Think again. Even if you participated last year, you’re entitled to enter again.
This is a UKBGF initiative to provide high-quality competition with a development pathway for aspiring intermediate players. The league was created to give them the chance to compete in a structured, high-level environment while learning directly from some of the UK’s strongest and most experienced players.
What’s in it for You?
We are pulling 12 names out of the hat to pair Intermediates with the best in the business. If your name is drawn, you’ll be teamed up with a Master or Grand Master to compete as a duo. The tournament will run from May to December.
The Format
The league is played entirely online. You and your expert partner will take part in:
● Three strategic quizzes (to put your collective brains to the test)
● Two 5-Point Matches
There will be two leagues of six players. The winner of each league won’t just walk away with bragging rights, they’ll win a luxury prize board (pictured Catherine Thome one of the board winners from the first doubles league).
All 12 players selected will also receive a sponsored place in a Jangler Bootcamp—an incredible opportunity to sharpen your game with top-tier instruction. The Boot Camp is an intensive weekend of elite coaching, practical match analysis, and small-group training delivered by leading UK and international players. It is designed to accelerate improvement and give ambitious players the tools to compete at the highest level.
