Comments posted in response to blog articles are moderated by UKBGF before publication. The following guidelines should be observed before posting:
- Please refrain from using bad language or profanities.
- Please stay on topic.
- Please do not submit anonymous comments as these will not be published. You should preferably log in with your UKBGF username and password before submitting a comment. You will then be automatically credited as the comment’s author. If you are not a UKBGF member (or have not logged in), your full name is required; not just your first name or a nickname.
- No adverts. Advertising, or links to advertising and private “for sale” or “wanted” ads are not allowed. This includes promotion of publications and projects which are not of direct relevance to the post being commented on, whether commercial or not.
- No surveys. We do not allow links to surveys except in very exceptional circumstances.
- Personal attacks, and defamatory or potentially defamatory statements are not allowed.
- Please respect copyright. If you quote from a publication or website, always acknowledge the source and provide a link. If the site is a subscription-only site, do not reproduce the entire article. You may use quotations – but be selective.
- No links without commentary. Comments containing only links will not be published. Provide a summary of the content of the link. This will allow readers know whether to follow the link or to remain within the UKBGF site.
- Please write clearly and avoid using text speak or all capital letters. Check for typos and other errors in your comment before clicking “Submit Comment”
Sometimes comments that violate the above guidelines may slip through; if you see a comment that you believe is problematic, please contact us.
