A brief overview of the methodology of the EUBGF/WBGF Backgammon World Rankings
The relatively recently formed Backgammon World Rankings (BWR) from the EUBGF/WBGF was developed for the purposes of formulating a system to house the results of virtually all tournaments globally to produce an ongoing individual rankings list.
The first games recorded in the UKBGF ratings were a little over four years ago. A significant milestone has been reached recently – as Tariq Siddiqi becomes the first person to amass 10,000 experience points. A glance at the table below shows he’s the UKBGF’s most prolific player by some considerable margin…
Once again a year draws to a close and it’s time to draw up our new Top 100!
The Top 100 is a snapshot of the ratings taken at the end of the year, and reflects every live game where the result was recorded at tournaments and clubs across the country. We’ve seen more clubs and tournaments adding to our database this year and so it’s an even more comprehensive record. [Read more…]
