We’re delighted to announce the schedule for the UKBGF Tour for the coming year. eleven of your favourite events return and are joined by another new one!
You can find the full list of events here – as you’ll see, we pay our first visit to the historic university city of Cambridge where we have a wonderful riverside venue for the weekend. Do sign up early, as many of the tournaments are likely to be fully subscribed – indeed Blackpool already has a small waiting list and you will have to hope for a drop-out to get a place; Liverpool and West Yorkshire are also filling up fast.
As the majority of tournaments are in the Swiss Saturday, knockout Sunday style, we’ve also revised the scoring for 2018 so that consolations aren’t so highly scored – as it’s possible to get to the consolation with five defeats from the first day. Double-eliminations like the UK Open are unaffected.
At the end of 2018 there will be a trophy for the winner to look after and cherish for a year, and the top three will receive personalised mementoes of their achievement.
And in the meantime, stay tuned for the final instalment of the 2017 Tour in Worcester just after Christmas… we may have a clear winner already but the rest of the glassware is still very much up for grabs!
