A new year starts and it’s time for us to publish our annual official list of the UK’s top 100 members. After 2018 being Tim Cross’s year, 2019 largely belonged to Jon Barnes. Tim regained the #1 spot after the UK Open, but a late run from Jon means he’s at the top of the list at the end of the year. This year we have 26 new names breaking into the list, most notably Danny de Meester entering at #26, and some spectacular climbers including Manchester Open winner Saul Brody (18th; was 92nd this time last year).
There’s now seven players who have reached the 10,000-experience mark; Tariq keeps the lead but Kevin Jones is catching up, and the year ahead will certainly see our first 15,000, perhaps even thousands more than that if the most prolific players keep it up.
The cut-off rating for the top 100 continues its march upwards after last year’s setback, this year being 1637. Are you on the list? Find out here…
