(10 points are allocated for a first preference, 9 for second and so on down to 0 for 11th)
We’d like to thank Peter Bennet and Peter Snape for acting as independent scrutineers for the process of checking people’s entitlement to vote and the tallying up, and all the candidates themselves for putting themselves forward for a demanding job. We’d also like to pass on out thanks to everyone who took the time to vote. A total of 166 valid votes were received, as well as 6 which could not be counted because they were anonymous or otherwise unable to be verified as from a UKBGF member.
Finally, a big thankyou to the Board members who are stepping down this time – Tim Cross, Geoff Hall, Peter Bennet and Brenda Rafferty, as well as John McNeill, who was part of the Board until moving to Canada – for all their hard work for the UKBGF over the last two years and beyond.
There will be a transitional period where the new Board will join the current members to assist in a smooth handover ready for the 1st January when they formally take over.
Congrats to all.The most important thing is the fact that there is a continuity.
Congrats to the elected board members – thank you for the many hours of voluntary work you put into the UKBGF, and to the departing Board members for the work you have done to build the organisation. You have helped make the UK BG scene much stronger, more active, and, including some members that I met last weekend in Bristol, drawn in a wider group from across the country. Much credit to you, thanks again.
Congrats to the selected Board members.
I was surprised to see that only 166 votes were received.
