What an extraordinary journey the 2026 Jangler Backgammon Boot Camp series has been.
We started with a vision of three and here we are, having already completed four with one more to go. When we launched these intensive coaching weekends, our aim was clear: provide players of all levels—from ambitious intermediates to seasoned competitors—with the kind of structured, world-class tuition that delivers an immediate leap in understanding and performance……and our feedback suggests we’ve achieved that.
Looking back at our recent stops in London and Worcester, the response has exceeded every expectation.
At the Clissold Arms in North London, the room was buzzing from the opening roll to the final debrief. Gathering an elite coaching lineup featuring the likes of Julian Fetterlein, Tim Cross, Simon Barget, and Reece Hodges, we were able to deliver again in the birth place of the Jangler Bootcamp. As always, the legendary Clissold hospitality set the tone, but it was the electric atmosphere—intense analysis, spirited group discussions, and countless “aha!” moments—that made the weekend so memorable.
The momentum carried straight into our Midlands stop in Worcester. We released our 2027 boot camp material and the feedback so far is very positive. Attendees embraced the format with immense focus, tearing into match-play scenarios, where we concentrated on game plan choices and specific match score cube decisions. As with our earlier sessions across the country, not only did everybody learn something but the camaraderie and social aspect shone through.
Now, we are gearing up for the final stop of the calendar—and we are heading to the English Riviera.
The Grand Finale: Backgammon Boot Camp Devon
For our final boot camp of the series, we are heading to the stunning coast of South Devon at Churston Golf Club. The principal instructor will be Reece Hodges and we will cover specific checker play and cubing topics. This two-day intensive event is designed to sharpen your thinking, elevate your strategy, and give your competitive play a major edge. Whether you are looking to break into open-flight tournaments, conquer your local club league, or simply want your cube actions to be based on ironclad logic rather than guesswork, this weekend is built for you.
