UK Open ACE 2015
There are just under 4 days left to compete in the UK Open ACE tournament over on BackgammonAce. Sign up on your phone, play as much as you can and accumulate as many points as you can! You’re matched with reasonably equal opponents and your final tournament score is a combination of your rating and bonus points obtained by playing with a low error rate – so you keep your score moving along even when you lose, as long as you do it well… the prize is UKBGF membership, something well worth playing for.

We’ll be featuring a number of matches over the course of the Open weekend, including some of the side events. Tune in here from 8pm tonight to see the Super Jackpot, and come back on Saturday and Sunday for more coverage!

We will be organising all the tournaments using Challonge, so you can keep track of your favourites’ progress live from anywhere as long as you have an internet connection! Follow the links to the various events, which will appear as soon as draws are made:

Thanks Aref for all your on-line streaming
Yes, my thanks also to Aref. I don’t think we should underestimate what an achievement the streaming has been – the use of two cameras to obtain a shot of the players and the board simultaneously was commented upon positively by a number of attendees. The quality was excellent and the speed and efficiency in placing the matches online on YouTube quite astonishing. This is a huge learning/training resource for me.
