We are extremely pleased and excited to report that Akiko Yazawa, the 2014 World Champion from Japan, will be attending the 2018 UK Open!
As a very special additional part of the event therefore, on the evening of Friday 31st August, Akiko will be the guest of honour at a three course meal for twelve UKBGF members.
Tickets for the meal, which will start at 6.15pm, cost £100 each and will be sold strictly in order of application and payment.
During the meal Akiko will relate her own personal story of the backgammon world as well as answer questions from attendees and enter into general conversation. Akiko will move seats between courses enabling at least six attendees to sit next to her at some point during the meal.
As an added bonus, one very lucky attendee will be drawn at random to be paired with Akiko in the 2018 UK Open Consulting Doubles event on the Saturday evening!
