For the first time in the UKBGF’s history, we have 1,000* current members.
Federation chair Julia Hayward said: “We’re delighted to announce this milestone. More and more people are joining clubs across the country, including the latest club at Inverness which will hold their first meeting next week.
“Membership offers help and discounts to players and helps us to develop and grow the game across the country.”
The details on how to join and the benefits of membership can be found here: https://ukbgf.com/join-the-ukbgf/
(* Over the last 11 years, 1,615 people have taken out membership, but over those years, people’s membership has lapsed, which has meant that at no point beforehand, have there been 1,000 members at any one time.)
We are also in the fifth year or our online league with an amazing 399 players. Does that make it biggest backgammon league in the world?
If you are not already in, members can easily join by filling out the form on this page: https://www.backgammonlondon.com/league
You’ll get to play five x 11 point matches each quarter and if you win your division you go into a division winners competition for a fantastic prize.
The next quarter starts on the 1st April. You’d be a fool to miss out.
