The UK National Online Championship is open for registration!
We are delighted to confirm that with play starting on 1st February 2023, the second UK National Online Championships returns! Even better than last year as the UKBGF’s new sponsor, Artgammon, have kindly provided additional prizes in the form of their wonderful boards.
Open to any players who are British nationals or players that live in the UK, and with a generous format of one match every 3 weeks, we look forward to you joining us and seeing who will follow James Newman and become this years UK Online Champion ! The format is a 13-point Triple Elimination Swiss, with clock settings of 90 seconds per point and 10 seconds per move, and all registrations and tournament details can be found on the dedicated page on Backgammon Hub : https://backgammonhub.com/tournament/uknat-2.
We have three levels of entry, which determine the prizes available to you:
- Bronze: £10 – ArtGammon full size competition board
- Silver: £15 – £500 cash prize
- Gold: £20 – The board and £500
There is also an ArtGammon travel board for the highest finishing player who doesn’t win the main board, plus a lovely trophy for the winner.
Additional side pools are available with 100% return, and with added prize money, boards, trophy and the prestigious title of UK National Online Champion 2023, we look forward to you joining us.

As ever, all matches will be included within the UKBGF online Ratings, and the tournament will be played under our Rules and Code of Conduct.
